Responsibilities:
•The successful candidate reports to the General Manager and have bottom-
line responsibilities in support of the Company’s principal activities.
•The incumbent will be primarily responsible for managing the day to day technical operations of the Company’s fleet of vessels.
•Expected to initiate appropriate steps for vessel improvement (in particular, for better operation / maintenance of deck, engine, equipment and machineriesonboard, and to ensure proper documentation / certification / submissions incompliance with ISM and Non-ISM requirements.
•Expected to formulate work plans, prepare annual expenditure budgets and monitorits utilization according to Company policy.
Requirements:
•Good communication skills in both oral and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
•Possess initiative and strong work ethics.
•Able to lead and work well in a team environment.
•At least 15 years shipboard experience with minimum ranking of Chief
Officer on commercial vessels but offshore support vessels are preferred.
•Good knowledge in Classification Survey requirements.
•Class I or Class II Certificate of Competency in Marine Engineering.
•Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
